Hello,

I noticed a race event in Concord, MA using Talkgroup 243 on Waltham Cap+ today. It did not seem to be part of the Marathon, but this webpage indicates the BAA and Boston Marathon is a partner.

I do not know if Talkgroup 243 will be used for the Marathon.

TGID 8496 is chatty w/ Med Stations and Hydration Stations on MSP Zone 5. Just heard a radio check - Channel is considered MED-A, and it's for Medical Stations/Med. Operations.

Does anyone have an ID on TGID 8496 on the State Police analog system? It sounds like medical tents to med control, with patients going to hospitals just west of Boston.

Likely an AdHoc creation for the event.

We've seen TG appear in the past, for just the BAA event

Yes, MED C/D as one channelTG

Bill, do you know what agency those TGs are assigned to? (possibly BEMS or MEMA)

Also is MED C and MED D the same talkgroup?

Those are both analog talk groups, I'm pretty sure. I heard 12289 briefly on Zone 1 with a reference to Cataldo. On a guess, it's for coordination outside of Boston. Cataldo is the contract 9-1-1 provider for Newton and Wellesley.

MED Control is also heard on Zone 2-202 (700 Overlay) Talkgroups 12289 & 12291

Based on 2015/2016 info reported/found by SNE sleuths

12289 was MED-1, likely now MED B
12291 was MED-2, likely now MED-C/D
