HP-2: bought uniden home patrol two Off Amazon serial number is rubbed off. I want to register for extreme, but can’t get past the registration page without

To save a few dollars I bought the new in great condition for like 456 instead of 517 brand new and this is how it came

OK - it looks like in order to convert the ESN (electronic serial number) to the Serial Number for the HP2:

02-0 => B​

26-0 => Z​

Last 3 characters of ESN are the checksum​

Examples:
ESN: 37702-028000080-0EB
SN: 377B28000080

ESN: 37726-048000951-115
SN: 377Z48000951

SN will have a letter where the ESN will have a 2-digit code, as the letter is often not Hex-displayable.
