Whoever is maintaining the Boulder County Frequencies: Cherryvale FD is now "Rocky Mountain Fire Authority." They merged with Eldorado Springs/Marshall.

Thanks for the post. I used to be in that area daily, but not anymore. Do the trucks still say Cherryvale on them?

That occured in June. There was a thread on RR back in early summer when the merger happened.

Yeah the merge happend awhile ago like Jim said. The merge happend because Eldorado only had something like 5 members responding to calls. Since Cherryvale ran along most of their district they merged. As far as I know they still say Cherryvale and Eldorado on them and they still go by their origional radio ID's. Cherryvale's website doesn't even mention anything about the merge or the name change which is a little wierd though. But along with the merge all the Eldorado members now train with Cherryvale and have to be up to their standards (I believe)

Yeah, I keep checking the Web site to see if there's any news about the merger. They still use the 24xx radio numbers, but are dispatched as RMFA, so the RR database should probably reflect that. (or so I decided last night... )
