TIME: 4:40 P.M.
LOCATION: Highway 36 at Broadway, just north of Boulder, CO.

On 6-14-08 at approximately 2:20 P.M. Troopers responded to highway 36 at Broadway.
A white 2003 self contained Kenworth truck tractor was traveling northbound on highway 36 and a bicyclist was also traveling northbound on highway 36.
The bicyclist merged and struck the dump truck and sustained serious injuries. The bicyclist was transported by ambulance to Boulder Community Hospital of Boulder, CO. The bicyclist was later pronounced dead by an attending medical physician.

The restrained driver of the Kenworth has been identified as Kevin ST.
Germain, 45 of Thornton, CO. ST. Germain sustained no injuries.

The bicycle rider has been identified as a 55 year old male of Lafayette, CO. The bicycle riders name and identity is being with held at this time due to next of kin notification.

Alcohol, drugs and speed are not suspected as contributing factors.

BOULDER COUNTY - The Boulder County Coroner has identified the bicyclist who died after colliding with a dump truck Saturday.

It happened around 2:20 p.m. on Highway 36 at Broadway Street.

According to the Colorado State Patrol, the driver of the dump truck, 45-year-old Kevin St. Germain of Thornton was driving westbound on Highway 36. Troopers say the bicyclist, identified Saturday night as 55-year-old Michael McCutheon of Lafayette, was attempting to cross the highway.

McCutheon hit the dump truck and was taken to Boulder Community Hospital with serious injuries. That's where McCutheon was pronounced dead.

Alcohol, drugs and speed are not suspected as contributing factors in the crash. An autopsy was scheduled for Sunday.
