I've searched the forum for the latest update on Bound Brook and the Somset TRS and found nothing later than March, 2020. Are there any updates?

Somerset County 500 TRS Tropo TV19

The 500 TRS is wiped out and knocked off air this AM 9/7/20. Tropo bringing TV 19 in strong from Norfolk Portsmouth. New in 2020 as a result of TV re-packing and auction. The new GTR8000 stations can’t override, that is assuming power output and antenna systems and combiners are up to snuff...

As of right now, they are still on their VHF repeater. However, it appears that a large majority, if not all of their vehicles, have been outfitted with an APX 7000 "County Radio" portable. The use case for these portables has yet to be determined since they rely on their headquarters to relay information over the Somerset County TRS. The only time I hear them refer to its use is when they catch drift of something going on in Bridgewater. If they do switch to the TRS, I hope they will still maintain their repeater since that is a crucial interoperability element between their OEM, FD, and squad (when they're available). Until then, that's the scoop I have, DSC45.
