Thanks to the alertness of "D.S." the Boy Scouts LTR system at Ft A.P. Hill
is now showing some activity. FCC records show 5 UHF frequencies.

Not sure if this information will be helpful in programming the channel order, however, it is showing on my Pro-97

463.450 0-16-255 R16 no vioce
0-16-255 R27 no voice
0-16-255 R30 no voice

463.700 0-13-255 R13 no voice

463.950 0-10-255 R10 no voice

464.125 0-07-255 R07 no voice
0-07-010 R07 voice
0-07-016 R07 voice

464.200 0-04-255 R04 no voice

I think the x-xx-255's may be something like a data signal or ID

Do you hear the CW ID (single frequency tone going on and off) during the times the x-xx-255 was displayed? The x-xx-255 is used to indicate an idle channel and with some LTR controllers it is also the CW ID group. x-xx-253 and x-xx-254 are also used for CW ID.

This information is valid to determine "channel" or repeater order. Repeater 7 is a home repeater for a couple of groups. Repeater Numbers are 4 (464.200), 7 (464.125), 10 (463.950), 13 (463.700), and 16 (463.450). The R27 and R30 entries are not valid as 20 is the maximum repeater number.

The sequence seems alittle unusual for a LTR system. I think there is another frequency that is repeater number 1. I would check the frequencies licensed under WQBG571 as well. I find sometimes frequencies licensed for conventional show up in trunked systems. Additional frequencies are 461.225, 461.475, 463.200, 464.500, 464.750, and 464.900.

There was no CW (morse code) heard, the numbers flashed very quick and disappeared. I observed each set of numbers several times to assure myself I was reading them accurately. I did not program in any of the conventional freqs thay I had monitored in the past under CTCSS.

im sorry, i really hate to bring back a thread that is 5 years old, but i have actually been wondering about this for years and actually got a chance to search it. I was there in july 2005, and was wondering what the freqs were myself. the staff were walking around with MTS2000s, UHF, model 2 and 3s.
With the jamboree coming back in just a few months, has anyone heard anything radio related lately?

I also have seen the system being keyed up but no voice often this week. I heard they were coming back for 1 more time the other day. So I put the freqs back in a scanner. Actually it kinda seemed like someone was busy just keying HH's to see if they worked..could be wrong though.

Have you tried the database listed here Boy Scouts of America Trunking System, Bowling Green, Virginia - Scanner Frequencies

There were plans afoot to move the Jamboree to Rockbridge County. I believe that fell thru and a site in West Virginia may have ben under consideration. Nit sure if another Jamboree will take place at AP Hill.
