Okay, this is kind of what I've summed up from listening recently to Boyd's frequencies.

Dispatch - repeater of F1
F1 - Primary dispatch channel
F2 - Informational channel
F3 - Group Talkaround
F4 - Possibly CPD talk/dispatch (154.1 is input, which I've heard with a MotoTRBO signal)
F5 - Talkaround

My primary questioning is F5. As I'm typing this, I can hear two units discussing personal matters, as if it was a personal talk channel, and it's coming in clear as a bell. Could this just be a mobile-mobile channel? It seems like they're using it as a CB radio.

F5 is general talkaround, does not go to/thru a repeater- just basic unit to unit - pretty much line of sight.

That's what I thought. I just couldn't find out where they would be. Probably at the restaurant a mile up as always lol.

Another quick question. Sometimes when the dispatch talks, the transmission will be interrupted, and a morse code-like noise plays for a second, the transmission stops receiving, then the dispatcher comes back on.

I've not heard the morse code interuptions. Is it happening on a specific freq. or on all of them?

To be honest, I have no idea. It happens when the dispatcher is cued up, but don't know if it's on all frequencies, all dispatchers, etc. I'll keep a listen and get back to you.

Okay, it sounds like mostly dispatcher, but I THINK I heard a unit get interrupted as well. I've also heard some transmissions end with a TRBO-like sound. I'll try to find some clips from my audio feed.

Attached a clip. Has the end of a dispatch call, some silence, then the morse code-like signal. I'll keep listening to see if it's just dispatch or not.

I'm still not hearing any morse code sounds on Boyd Co. - only time I hear them is on KSP.

You can't really listen for it. It will just do it randomly. It happens on both my Pro-106 and the 16 channel RS scanner that I use for broadcasting. Sometimes, I'll also hear what appears to be a TRBO sound at the end of certain transmissions. I'll keep listening and let you know.
