I switched my feed over from an older radio to the Br330t and the audio sounds real bad like it's coming out of a tin can? Any tips to help with some better audio?

The speaker on the BR330T is very small and has a relatively poor bass response. It may be that the speaker on your older radio sounds better. One thing to try is to plug in a good headset or amplified computer speaker to the headset jack on the top of the BR330T and see what that sounds like.

The speaker won't effect the line out.
Try turning the volume down you may be overpowering the audio. You can also adjust the volume on your computer.
I got lucky on my feed it was "plug n' play". The BCD996XT has a record-out jack on the back and the level is automatic.
