BR330T FM Modulation Question?

Should I set the modulation to Auto which puts regular FM frequencies in NFM or should they be set to regular FM?, is the reception better in NFM rather than regular FM? Should certain bands like the Ham Band etc. be programmed in FM or NFM? I noticed on my BR330T that in the NFM mode the frequency sounds louder and a little distorted while in regular FM its not as loud but clearer, does anyone else notice this? Thanks for your help.

hi john i keep mine in auto. if i see a cop coming by i put it on a wfm station.
