BR330T vs. BC246T

I was chatting with someone in the know. He was telling me that the price difference between a BC-246T ($229) and a BR-330T($279) would be about $50.

Given all of the 'step up' features for the BR-330, why would anyone get a 246T?

Do you think Uniden will lower the price on the 246T, or you think its going to let market forces allow the 246T to 'die on the vine'?

I've only had my 246 since March but will be replacing (augmenting?) it with a 330 soon.

some people dont need all of the memory of the 330.

Ok, made me curious. I haven't been following the BR-330 so closely. I didn't know if memory capacity was more like 246 or 396.

...turns out it's only 2500 channels, so more like a 246. I have about 1600 fully tagged channels in my 246.
