I scan Bradley TSA from West Granby. The frequency is 172.9000 P25. It is not encrypted. I I have never seen an encrypted signal from their repeater. Radio IDs are in the 2xxxxxx range.

BTW, this info is already in the DB at the bottom of this page.

Bradley International Airport (BDL) Scanner Frequencies and Radio Frequency Reference

Only one channel. They don't say much on the radio, other than when they are starting or finishing an RPD, which is a "resolution pat down."

TSA Primary Ops is on 172.9000 R $001 however [not having found any yet] there are [at many other airports] simplex channels used for the X-Ray machines [People not Baggage] that all you will hear [if not ENC] is the Person remotely operating the Scanner advising
a. "Male - Clear"
b. "Female - Clear"
c. "Male - Anomaly [insert location(s)]
d. "Female - Anomaly [insert location(s)]

These have bee seen anywhere in the 162 [yes below the NWS] thru 174
on all sorts of other agency shared frequencies [mostly CBP]
Some are P25, others Analog with basic Speech inversion

Note - you need to be close to the terminal/scanner to even pick them up.
Here in Boston, even across the harbor or at Cell-Phone parking we have only discovered 14 of them and some are shared [diff Tone or NAC] with another terminal

Happy Hunting. :D

They have a repeater. I'm all the way in West Granby receiving them at three or four bars.

yeah! i bet they dont talk much, theres nothing to really talk abouth that is interesting, unless something major is going on and thats where the state police (troop w) will be more action on the radio which i have not seen any state police in the airport when i was at the airport 2 times this month.

When I went to KC two weeks ago, I saw the trooper that saw some baggage with no one around it in the terminal. When the person came back, he ran his name/DOB.
