Bramalea City Centre Security - Brampton

I've been monitoring Bramalea City Centre security for a couple of years now on 462.2375. They were last heard about three weeks ago using a DCS of 226. They change their PL tones every now and then, so when the frequency went dead on my scanner I opened it up to search for a new tone. There seems to be no sign of voice activity from them on this frequency, but a loud squealing tone is heard every now and then.

I have my suspicions they may have followed the lead of square one and yorkdale, and switched to MotoTRBO or another digital format.

I can't confirm this. Someone might have better info than me or want to do some field work, but I thought I'd throw it out there for discussion.

Looks like some of us in the east end of Brampton might have ANOTHER empty spot on the scanner....

I cant speak for your areas security firm , but the one I am with , we use P25 with DES on the uhf band.

If your scanner has close call..take a trip to the mall...and get a HIT on what they use...they might have even went to a 2nd frq, we use 4 ( were lic for ) and can switch between them..we use to, until our new radios came into service.

Anyone wishing to buy one extra Moto xts 3000 ( Mint shape ) with heaps of extras..lemme know.

( If they are using P25...our radios , minus a our DES UCM, might very well work for you. )
