An investigation is underway after deputies responding to the report of a fight and shots fired found one person dead. According to Hillsborough County Sheriff's spokesperson Larry McKinnon, deputies were called to the 1400 block of Scotch Pine Drive in Brandon around 3:30 p.m. after a 911 caller said a fight broke out between several people and shots were fired. Deputies are interviewing witnesses and the possible shooter. The shooting doesn't appear to be a random act of violence, McKinnon said. No one involved in the incident has been identified.
