Database not showing them encrypted, but who knows....
With a high enough antenna, you may get Chicago too!
I knew that, recently reprogrammed them in and was hearing them in the clear for a long time before and after reprogramming.
I can't get Manchester on just my whip in Ansonia. Thank you for the Branford report. Answers my question.

Manchester ct pd full encryption??
Just wondering sitting on my deck outside FINALLY & giving my 396t a workout & Manchester pd ch 1 has been running full encryption, I know that ch 2 runs it I heard that they might be going full encryption thoughts/ ideas any1 ?? TIA
But yeah, he's right, it's off-topic in this thread regardless of whether someone else mentioned it. You didn't need to chime in, as I think your feelings on Manchester's encryption were covered quite well a year ago in that other thread.

What i said was that MPD is full encrypt, I'm in their back yard, TRYING to impart local knowledge, but its not appreciated obviously

OR... maybe this was a thread about Branford PD , not Manchester. No one disparaged your comment, we simply commented that it had nothing to do with Branford. Trying to keep the thread from being badly "derailed" the way it is now. You've actually brought up Manchester PD in it's own post a while back, where some of the "elders" came after you, and I personally defended you from those clown-comments. So to take this somehow personally is the wrong direction, as it was not meant in that direction. We are very well aware Manchester PD is encrypted, we all saw your thread on it. I, like others, am just trying to keep this thread on Branford PD, the original intent. Period. So that's that, move on.
Actually the original question asked was answered and this thread could actually be closed now that it's so far off track.
Branford is not encrypted but does have encryption capability which they do use. Branford tends to be secretive with a lot of information. That said, they're system can be flakey at times and produce garbled transmissions that are digitized.
Branford police comeing up with enc nac 186 someone out that way am in New Britain now
As stated earlier...
With that said, they were never in the DB has being partially encrypted. Information like this should be submitted to the DB. I made the change for now to reflect it.
