I'm using DSD+ (on Windows) to decode Brant County FD. I'm using an sdr so I'm getting unfiltered audio to dsd+.

I'm looking for some help tweaking my settings to get a better decode. So far I've been using the -fa function to get the proper decode protocol.

It sounds like I'm getting close to a good decode. Here is the link to the audio file. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-6q2Uju4exqbFVkMDI3SU82Rzg/edit?usp=sharing

It's NX96 traffic, so try forcing decode using -fN instead
If you can improve your rx signal/antenna setup it will help decode
You can also try running dsdtune to optimize decodes.

Thanks for the info. I uploaded what was decoded by dsd+ not the raw transmission. I'll try to get a source file. It's hard when they don't broadcast much.

I've modified to -fn and I'll work on trying to get a better signal. I'm about 45 mins away from the transmitter.

To confirm, for NX96 you need to use -fN (uppercase N).
For NX48 you should force it to use -fn (lowercase n)

Actually I don't think your uploaded decode sounded that bad based on what I've decoded before.

Adjusting the bandwidth can help too. If you adjust it so it's just wide enough for the signal. Like when I decode DMR, I usually use 8000 Hz bandwidth rather then 12500 Hz. Even though the channel is 12.5KHz big, it doesn't use all of it, so making the bandwidth smaller reduces the noise.
Make sure that filter audio is off also, if you're using SDR#.
