CSFD is still on the CS TRS. No changes there, so I don't really know what that guy meant about October 4.

CS doesn't want to lose control of their radio ops yet, LOL.

Right on...:lol: That's kind of strange, though, because they originally shared the same office with Brazos County 911 (Back before College Station got their trunked system).

I have picked up two new TGs in the last day or so:
3933: 9xxx units discussing event parking (unit numbers were between 94xx and 95xx)
3899: "Utilities dispatch, open the front gate"

That's sort of what I have been thinking. Sounded sort of like Brenham Fire units (unit numbers in the 9000s). Heard 3899 a few minutes ago, and like before, utilities-related.

EDIT: 3899: "25 to Utilities Dispatch..."
Anyone recognize the unit number?

ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
3878: "745 to College for radio check"

There was a conversation between 711 and another unit (745?) on the CS TRS about "trying to reach College on the new radios".
3878 is the new College Station Fire Dispatch, I guess.
Then, I suspect 3899 is College Station Utilities Dispatch.

So, any TGs in the 38xx range *might* be College Station-related.

Washington County TG's

Brenham and Washington County VFD have a training day scheduled this Saturday. Since most departments have had their radios installed, but the system isn't live yet, I bet they may get used quite a bit this weekend. ( Especally the TAC TG's or the Training TG) If anyone sees new TG's pop up with people using ID #'s in with 9XXX , it's a good bet that these are the WC VFD or Brenham VFD groups.

The Washington County Road and Bridge Dept and Brenham Utilities and Water Departments have moved over to the new system, but I think that most guys are still just using their cell phones to communicate with each other. I haven't heard much traffic on these channels yet.

I think College Station is beginning to make their move to TxWARN. I just caught a new TGID: 3891. From what I've been hearing, it appears to be for the Brazos Valley Solid Waste Management Agency landfill. Another TGID also popped up briefly: 3890. Just a key up, no voice.

It's no coincidence that I stopped hearing them on the CS TRS, and haven't heard them there since I noticed the new TGID on Friday. On that same day, I was hearing test counts on 3889 and 3890. Here is what I have that might be for College Station so far:
3878: College Station Fire Dispatch (heard 711 on this channel a week or so ago trying to contact dispatch)
3889: Unknown; popped up on site 122
3890: Unknown; popped up on site 122
3891: BVSWMA Landfill
3899: Unknown; sounded like some sort of utility channel

Did anyone catch any interesting TG during the fake gun incident earlier on campus?

Unfortunately, I was in class at SHSU when this happened, so I missed it (pretty much). However, on Monday, I did pick up two new TGIDs:
2557: "Testing on BVWACS..."
3887: Commenting that the "sound quality on these radios is better than the XTS5000" Possibly referring to the APX7000?

Oh, and last night I cought a conversation on Brenham Fire about them finishing up installing the new consoles next week.

The units on 3886 seem to now be discussing the locations of gas meters. Possibly Atmos Energy?

TAMU Incident

I did hear the TAMU campus police dispatcher relaying that the Bryan PD units didn't have anyway to communicate with the Campus PD because they didn't have the new TG's in their radios. Does anyone know when / if Bryan will be switching over to the TxWARN system... So much for integrated comm's during this emergency.

I heard some test counts yesterday evening on 2557, which I have found out is the future Bryan Fire Dispatch. Judging by that and the other new TGs that have appeared over the last few days, I think something big *might* be happening this November. I have no evidence for this, but it seems likely, considering that I heard that everbody should be on it by the end of the year.

Thanks to a PM by Myles, I figured out what 3886 was: College Station Sanitation Department. So, so far I have these:

2557=Bryan Fire Department Dispatch
3886=City of College Station Sanitation
3887=City of College Station Street Department
3891=Brazos Valley Solid Waste Management Agency Landfill

Note this new one: 3885. Heard a brief key-up, no voice traffic. I suspect any TGIDs in the 388x-389x range are probably utilities TGs.
