Picking up another control channel on 774.44375 with an id of 01a7h-0124.
This appears to be the Brenham site. I am working south of Wellborn this afternoon so it explains why I can hear it, abit weak though.

Also been hearing testing on tg's 2210 and 537 on the other two sites.

No further activity on sites 121 and 122. It's kind of interesting how fast this system has gone up in less than a week. I do find it strange that even with these sites up and running, there has been no activity as far as actual radio traffic goes since last Thursday.

Mutual Aid 2 (commonly referred to as "MA2") is often used around the Harris County area on the analog system. Life Flight also likes to use this as a ground contact channel when heading to a scene.
This is the first reference I've seen to it being accessed on the P25 system.
My list of talkgroups is in an Excel spreadsheet and shows the analog talkgroup and the P25 equivalent.

It's now listed in the HCRRS P25 system. I think those Harris County MUTAID TGs should be re-categorized as "systemwide" talkgroups. I have my own (farely large) Excel spreadsheet that I will post as soon as I get it transferred to my new computer.

I got bored back in 04 and 05 and created a ms word file with every county in the state of Texas and all the licensed frequencies. It took about a year to get every county and all it's trunked systems in there, about a county a day or so, but I am proud of it. I keep up with it by checking the RR database once a week for changes and checking the FCC applications once every few months. The typical line of the page looks like this:

Navasota Fire 1 Dispatch (tab) RX: 155.0550 TX: 158.9250 PL: 71.9 (tab) KNEU515

Anyhow, back on topic, I am working up in Carthage right now, so I am missing out on running unitrunker until Friday night. But keep the updates coming.

Well most of today they have been piping in talkgroups 2026 and 1424 into the College Station system (700 mhz). Also got hits (Unitrunker) on 65536, 91, 2214, 2670, 1124, 56528, 2708, 53715, 1422, and 5149. These were all on the target id side. I assume some may be test tg's or i-calls as not all come back to any tg on the hcrrs system.
Bryan site is currently down.

I agree that some of those "talkgroups" are probably radio IDs.
Would be very interested in any activity you catch on 1422 and 1424.
They have been logged down here but I hadn't actually heard these.
They are TXDOT talkgroups supposedly. 1424 had traffic during Hurricane Eduardo. I got my fill of the Montgomery County SO talkgroups through the Houston site and finally locked them out.
Be advised that many of the Montgomery Co talkgroups are encrypted so they won't be much fun.
I haven't notated which groups are encrypted on my list (yet). You can see that on RR though.

Also got hits (Unitrunker) on 65536...

I believe this is an internal system id for P25 TRSs. I get this RID all the time on the Austin P25 TRS (Caldwell IR Site) as well as on the Central Austin site of that same system. It was actually the first User ID I got from the Caldwell IR site. Someone else might be able to explain it's utility (diagnostic?) or purpose.

Things are really moving up there. Wonder what site 23 is. Heard some techs talking yesterday on my way to work about some of the systems up there. At least one still had some tower work to be done and radios aren't set up yet. Didn't say which site it was. So just keep listening and see when they pop up.
So now we are just waiting to hear about Millican and Washington. Curious about why Bryan is down unless they just wanted to test it for awhile. Expect to hear them running around the area up there giving signal reports (RSSI) from various locations to check coverage.

65536 is the morse ID talkgroup. Scanners won't track it, but unitrunker will display it when morse ID (in analog) is broadcast on a voice channel.

I would bet site 23 is Millican and 26 is Washington, but I don't know what they will do with the Hensel Dr. site. It is near the Texas A&M campus and in a valley between the two cities. The College Station analog system has towers there and where the new CS P25 site is.

Bryan site is currently down.

Crap. Why do they seem to do this when I'm in Huntsville?

Anyway, I suspect that the TAMU site will be exclusively for ISSI while the Millican site will probably serve a similar purpose to the BCSO South Tower. As for the Bryan site, I don't really know what that will be for.

I also suspect that some of those TGIDs you came across *might* be ones that are going to be used in the system when it is put into use. Just FYI:

1422: TXDOT RADIO
2026: MONTG CO SO DISP 1
1124: WALKER CO FIRE DISP
2214: TX MUTAID 1
2670: NEW TGID
2708: NEW TGID
91: HCRRS RADIO TEST 1
5149: NEW TGID
56528: BRYAN POLICE ANIMAL CONTROL (Carryover from the current system?)
53715: NEW TGID (Possibly an unidentified TGID carryover from the current system?)

If the last two are any indication, we might not have to worry about having to figure out what the new TGIDs will be for the HCRRS system. I suspect that they might simply transfer the current TGIDs on BVWACS to the new HCRRS system, since they don't interfere with any others on HCRRS P25. As for the Montgomery and Walker County TGs, those were probably brought online to test radio affiliation and connectivity with the other sites in the system.

I doubt they will use the same talkgroup IDs, since P25 system IDs are spaced sequentially, and analog or mixed system IDs are spaced by multiples of 16. They will probably be all together new talkgroup IDs, since several of the Bryan/Brazos talkgroups already have the same number as their equivalent on the HCRRS analog system, 2318.

122 is active again. Right now, MCSO DISP 1 (2026) is active. Earlier, a new TGID (2396) appeared. It sounded like a radio tech talkgroup.
