Breaking News section.

I have noticed that few of the state boards here have a Breaking News section. Now that this Utah group is getting more active should we ask to have one (see Colorado) I think most of us monitor allot and could keep things up to date. I also think there are enough things going on that we could have things active at least 3 times a week average. please vote and leave your comments. If this sounds like something we all want to have and use, we can then ask the admin to set it up.

Paging System

I have had a "paging" system up for some time. Right now it is just me and a few friends, but we page out on big stuff when we hear it.

If there are others in the Salt Lake Valley that are interested I can post the information on how to sign up... It is a VERY cut down (no filtering) version of IncidentPage (IPN), except for now it is free and only focused on the Salt Lake area...

But I also second the idea for a breaking news section...

I wouldn't mind using a pager system. I also would be willing to send pages. I use to have my scanner online and sent pages to a few sites. i now am very busy with other things. I still like to keep informed of any big action I may miss. I also like to get others active in listening when there is something big.
