COMMERCE CITY - Tower Road was shut down for several hours Tuesday afternoon because of a deadly accident.
Commerce City Police say a blue 4-door sedan crashed in the 9500 block of Tower Road around 2:50 p.m.
Police say the blue sedan was heading north when witnesses say it crossed into the southbound lanes and hit a white van head-on.
The passenger of the blue sedan, an unidentified Hispanic girl in her late teens from Brighton, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver was flown to Denver Health Medical Center with serious injuries.
Police say neither was wearing a seatbelt.
The driver and passenger of the white van were not injured, according to police.
