I did see them. They were awesome! I had actually forgot about them till they rolled by. Im working today and wont be at tonights race but ill have my units setup to try and catch comms from them this evening.

Adding talkgroup 49584 on sullivan co trs. That is a law enforcement interagency channel just for race use.

I'd like to know any updates or good freqs to monitor also. I'm going to be spending the night next to the track after the race and would like to listen to fire rescue and or ems as I know if anything much happens, they'll be called. I'm assuming Sullivan county, but thought I'd join RadioJonD in asking to see if anyone could set us up from experience with a couple good freqs to monitor while near the track area.

Five weeks to Bristol!

Any thoughts on how the 700 MHz system (whatever the name for it is this week) will be incorporated into the event comms? (Yes, I'll monitor the related sticky!)

As yet, I don’t personally have anything to tune 700 MHz nor even digital for that matter! Behind the times, I know, but the expense of continuing the hobby coupled with talk about key agencies like THP to encrypt is causing serious pause here.
