Broadcastify to Text ?

I am an auxiliary Emergency Responder that lives in a somewhat remote Texas county, Grayson County, Texas. The county Fire radio system is horrible. New out of area dispatchers hired and fired all the time. These two things cause me many problems in understanding the vhf radio calls and locations. Such as did dispatch mean Blackmon or Blackman rd. ? Or intersection of county rd 4545 or cr 5545? I hear that an alpha numeric pager type device can be used to read the calls. OR there may be a phone app that can be used. Any information as to these things would be greatly appreciated.

Might want to take a look at a service like Active911 if you can convince your dispatch center to support it.

eDispatch is another option. My county uses both, for various agencies/teams. Obviously, computerized dispatch is required.

Do you have reliable cell service there? There are many CAD apps that can provide a text message or in-app notification to cell phones. IAmResponding is popular.
But your 911 center has to integrate them.

Broadcastify to iphone text

I goofed by not posting that the 3 counties I serve have NO CAD and are not planning on getting it. So I really need an app that will hear a broadcast message via Broadcastify on my iphone 6s and convert the voice to text so I can read the message

Keep in mind, that any speech decoding software is not likely to detect the difference Blackman and Blackmon roads. That would need to be entered, either manually, or supplies from a CAD.
