I dont think you can recieve a sync on the input frequency. But i guess it should not matter.

Absolutely you can hear subscribers transmitting on a repeater input, if you are close enough to the subscribers. You may not be able to decode data, but you will hear it with an analogue radio.

Getting something on 460.9875 that has 1 second bursts, but also longer stretches that could be conversations. Sounds similar to what fleetnet OPP sounds like without a p25 capable radio.

It may be Bell Mobility. See if you notice if it is DMR. They have CAP+ systems around the region.

Looks like Brockville PS has indeed moved to DMR with AES encryption. The town repeater (460.9875, DCC8) located at 32 Wall Street (Google it...) is a dead giveaway. The wide area repeater (451.475, DCC5) is on Chemical Road and carries the same DMR/RAS/AES traffic as the town repeater. The only talkgroup seen so far is 12301, using AES with KID1 on timeslot 1. Most subscribers, including base radio(s) at the police station, are using the town repeater. The dispatcher's radio ID looks to be 12325.

Tower behind brockville police
Double folded dipoles, with a microwave link pointed west towards chemical road.
Chemical road tower also has a p25 fire, as well as a microwave link to the main leeds&grenville fire communications center on lauier street, in north brockville.

TAFL - protected frequencies

Curious, how does one get the info you provide all the way from the GTA? Day Trip :)

Slightly off topic but TAFL doesnt list any of this but RR members were able to locate it within days. maybe its time for TAFL to be replaced with the RR database.

good work slicerwizard and thanks for sharing.
