Brockville Police - To upgrade radio tower and add new radio tower to system

Brockville police just had its budget release for 2012.

And in regards to the radio system, it seems that all they are going to do...
is spend $44,000 on upgrading an existing tower, on the police station property,
and also rent space from another tower to the north end of the city to fill in dead spots.

As of yesterday when I was in town they we in clear analog using the old VHF frequencies. Hopefully they don't get sold on another encryption scheme that doesn't perform as needed.
