I don't hear them on the Westchester County trunked frequencies.
Does anyone know what frequency the police who monitor the Bronx River Parkway use?

The parkway is patrolled by the Westchester County PD, who operate on conventional P25 (VHF), listed in the database.

Note that despite having some talkgroups on the county trunked system, the WCPD do not actually operate on that system natively. They do have VHF patched with TG 383, however, so you should be hearing them on that talkgroup.

My scanner's database is over five years old.
I will need to update it.
Thanks.

All WCPD units do have access to the Trunked System. All units are assigned a Trunked System Subscriber ID for access. They are still primarily on F1, but if the unit has a coverage issue in the area they are at, they can switch over to the Trunked System TG which will get them back to F1

Can confirm that WCPD has fully committed to using the Westchester P25 system. The VHF P25 channels are simulcast and will remain in service, but all units were advised to switch zones on their radios to the trunk system. There are also a lot of talkgroups missing from the database. It's not just F1 and F3 active of the trunk system.

They were? Because apparently no one got that memo. 99% of all transmissions on A66 on the WCPD talkgroups are from the VHF patch, not native subscribers. And yes, there are at least a dozen WCPD talkgroups provisioned, however so far only two or three are routinely active.

I can’t speak for patrol. But SOD and park rangers made the switch.
So patrol is not part of "all units", then? Patrol is the bulk of the force, so if they haven't switched over, WCPD is clearly not "fully committed" to using the DES's system...not at this time, at least.

Another fountain of misinformation, pokes their head above the ooze.

WCPD Park Rangers on TG 179 not sure if they made the switch, they did buy a bunch of new radios though.

There is no Talkgroup 179 in this system.
He's using HEX notation. 179 HEX = 377 DEC, which is WCPD Parks (as you well know).

@Wingman17, if you're going to post talkgroups, please either use the DEC format or specify that you're posting them in HEX notation. DEC is more common for P25, so just use that and make it easy on everyone.

Or let's just take the cloak and dagger out of the whole thing, and post what was last known lineup for the WCPD talkgroups. And no, I'm not dumping them all into the database until/unless they are actually confirmed and personally verified by monitoring. Some of our members have forgotten that rule, resulting in bad/old data making its way into the listings. 😒

Sorry for the confusion, I didn't specify HEX. There is a lot of debate around the system and whether pd is going to fully commit to it. Everything I've seen and everyone I have talked to so far says it's happening. Not surprised considering everyone that was p25 or analog is jumping to trunked systems that are already well established. Like Dobbs Ferry, Ardsley and Portchester jumping on MTA's system.

@Wingman17, where are you getting your information from? Clearly, you have no clue to what is actually going on.

While WCPD has a block of radios that have popped up on the system, they are not natively using the system on all of their provisioned talkgroups. So they are definitely not "fully committed".
