Just in case you are not aware, sometime in the coming months you will no longer hear anything on 33.90 as Broome County transitions to a UHF P25 Phase 2 trunked system.
That's great, but I have one request of anyone in the county. Please do not submit that the low band is dead, unless it is actually verified dead. Far too many times we have these reports of a county going to a new system, and it gets submitted as dead, only because the submitter was told it would be dead. (Only to have had it left on as a patch or what-not).
We have way too many non listed, but still used, low band frequencies in this country.

No worries. While it is relatively easy to confirm a new frequency or talk group with a few days of monitoring, unless you are directly involved in a department or agency’s radio use it is next to impossible to confirm a frequency is no longer in use. Experience has shown me that even “Expired” status in the FCC database doesn’t necessarily mean the agency is no longer using a frequency.
