Two adults and two juveniles are in custody after their vehicle crashed into a police car following an officer-involved shooting in Broomfield.
A 911 caller reported seeing people breaking into vehicles near a condominium complex at about 3:30 a.m. Wednesday. Sgt. Mark Goodell says the male suspects spotted a responding officer and tried to drive off in a Suzuki sedan.
Goodell says the officer, who was on-foot at the time, tried to stop the suspects and fired two shots into the car when he became worried about his safety. No one inside the car was hit.
The Suzuki crashed into a Broomfield police car. Two suspects were taken to a hospital with minor injuries, while two others were found in the area.
One officer was treated and released from a hospital.
