Undoubtedly there will be much airtime to fill with the death of this man.

I wasn’t even going to comment, and I won’t on him personally. Im trying to be a better person, so maybe I gave my feelings away 😉.

Tom pretty much hits the nail on the head. I will be curious also to see what happens with time slots. I know SW Broadcasting will never be like the “good old days”, but boy do I miss them now.

Wow, looking at that site. Just, wow.

I've heard him here and there, but never stopped long to listen.

Some comments above are, in my opinion, are a bit tough.

Like the Overcomer Ministry or not, Brother Stair had a lot of airtime on numerous stations. Adam Lock was WWCR's Program Director during the years I was the Webmaster (1996-2005). I can't say I approved of Stair's lifestyle or message, but he was a force to be reckoned with in producing a lot of material for his following.

I think it is much too soon to foresee the future of the Overcomer Ministry, but change is inevitable. Some broadcasters will be affected.

This guy was on both WRMI frequencies 9455 and 9395kHz; on WWCR 4840; 5850kHz; three frequencies in the 7 megs; and 9980kHz all just from where I caught his voice tuning around.
I believe he will go the way of Dr. Gene Scott where they will replay him for years to come. Long after he's gone.

Good riddance, what a heretic he was. Cult leader, false prophet, rapist.
Can't spin the dial without encountering his false ministry at least thrice. Got a feeling that won't change any time soon

Remember, he's paying to keep the station afloat. So if there is any other programming on those stations that you enjoy, Brother Stair was helping to make it happen.

I wonder if those stations will be able to continue if the Stair money goes away.

I had heard him too the last few years on shortwave but like others I never bothered to listen to his content since he sounded like a crazy old man. I guess as long as they keep paying they'll just play recordings of him like they did for Gene Scott. Now his wife is on the air and runs his "ministry". As a casual listener I too miss the days of real international broadcasters from other countries on shortwave. I don't have the equipment, space or antenna setup to hunt for real "DX" stations anymore like I used to.

One way or another it will affect domestic SW broadcasters. Unlike Gene Scott, I don't think Overcomer Ministry has a similar personality (as Melissa Scott) to keep it going in the same way that Scott's ministry is still operating.

Yeah, I heard a recording of him talking about something during the Obama Administration, as if it was current events.
