Will do and do you know when there will be updates to the Broward P25 database as there are quite a few talk groups that aren't in the database as of yet such as Pembroke Pines PD Dispatch 12075 , Thank You

there haven't been any submissions that I've seen for updates!

my experience is that when systems are in massive flux / change.... these things take a bit to settle out before long term updates can be put in the DB.

I am more than willing to process updates with a little bit of guesswork in them, especially when the inputs align with the numbering scheme of XYZ agency.

ok well thank you .... Pembroke Pines Police Dispatch is TGID 12075, I am really wondering when Hollywood will be migrating to the Broward P25 system as that is where I live and it is the MAIN agency that I listen to and I am very curious as to why they are the ONLY law enforcement agency that hasn't moved to the Broward P25 system yet and they have upgraded all of their radios with all of the Broward P25 TGIDS in their radios , I know this from someone with First Hand knowledge. I'm just wondering why they haven't moved to the new system ..Do you have ANY knowledge of Hollywood's future plans ..?

please submit it to the Database using the submit tab on the system link!

(For the record, we are not allowed to update the Database based on input in the forums --- has to come via the submit link so that all the Florida DB admins can "see" the input/changes. Rules are the rules (even for us!)

I am about 150 miles due north of broward.... so I can't help with any agency / use type stuff. (sorry!)

tropixstarz....I posted several times now about Hollywood. There are a lot of behind the scenes politics and discussions that I cannot comment about on open forums. As of right now, they are staying right where they are. Yes, they have the new Broward P25 system in their radios...the LE COMMs etc. But I can tell you that the County radios ONLY have Hollywood's CURRENT system. So that fact alone should tell you that if they were to switch to "imaginary talkgroups" they have on Broward P25, NO ONE ELSE would be able to talk to them on those talkgroups because no one else has them ! You continually asking about a date that has not yet be set for anything is not going to change the facts. As far as the database, as things get confirmed based upon affiliations, key ups, conversations with contacts, etc., we try our best to push them out. Just because a particular talkgroup falls in line with what it might be, doesn't mean thats what it is, until it is confirmed and submitted. There is also encryption on the system and we might not know what any of them are. I was able to ID the SWAT talkgroups (which are encrypted) due to their radios (which were self identified on dispatch talkgroups responding to call outs) affiliating and keying up on two particular talkgroups. Their radios only. Its a process that takes some time, so calm down or people like me will keep things to themselves.

Ok fair enough , And I do thank you for your input. And I understand about the behind the scenes politics and discussions that you cannot comment about on open forum. Ok well thank you very much.

I noticed 10037 labeled as FDOT, I don't remember seeing this on the old system. Any idea the purpose on the new system? It is bundled in the fire-rescue talkgroups.

Basically the EVT3 talkgroup on the old system. The Fire-Rescue units use it to contact FDOT to check cameras for accidents on I-95, 595, TPKE so they know how to approach, what shoulder, etc.

Uni G4/5 vice SDS100 Programming Question - Can I load several 700-800mhz trunked simulcast systems on the G4/5? BUT only listen to one system at a time? On the SDS100 I will not listen to any conventional, I have the BCD996P2 to do that, so is it kind of pointless to go with the SDS100?

I do thank you for all of your input ,and I apologize for getting all excited over why Hollywood hasn't changed from Broward site 3 to the new Broward P25 Simulcast Site . And I talked with someone in person tonight that has FIRST HAND knowledge of the Hollywood LE radio system. and it is JUST like you said Hollywood does have the new Broward P25 system in their radios...the LE COMMs etc.. they are just remaining on their system for the time being and the reason IS JUST like you said >> behind the scenes politics and after hearing it from someone in person in detail I now understand about you NOT going into details about it, as I also would not post the details of it online as well … But what I was worried about I am NO longer worried about... Everything IS & everything WILL be ok in the future. i don't know about anyone else but I have the new Broward P25 System programmed in a SDS200 & also a 536HP and the reception is ROCK solid reception and crystal clear audio. Again I do thank you for your input.

Too early to tell. One UID (7126001) which belongs to Miami-Dade. That is the first talkgroup he actually got a grant on as his radio has been getting denials since 12/4. No other affiliations.

He definitely said, "Miami-Dade testing" FWIW.

There was that 4048 talkgroup that I had labeled "Aventura-BSO" which was used when they were chasing guys right around the county line there. But that seemed like a patchwork solution at the time.

10075 - LEO surveillance of auto theft vehicle rn, 4301 NW 10th Court, which Google Maps claims could be Plantation, Pompano, or Dania, take your pick.

Guys, I received the SDS100 this week to monitor mainly BSO and BSO Fire. I am not impressed with the audio quality. I am not a pro at this, since my last scanner was a HP1. A lot of the transmissions are garbled and not clear. I turned on and off the attenuator and no luck. Turned the squelch all the way up and down and no luck. I live in Deerfield and even miss some of the transmissions from mainly the deputies out in the field. Any advice would be appreciated. I know I have a lot to learn with this scanner and it can be complex, but I'm willing to learn.

I just purchased a UNICATION G4 pager. From the reviews and research, I have done. It seems like Unication radio is better compared to the SDS100 to handle the Broward county Simulcast system. I had a BCD325P2 Programmed with Broward and it was Horrible, with transmissions cutting in and out and lots of garbled transmissions.

I'm near you, try the Wide-Normal filter. I have had no issues.

Many many users have complained about SDS 100 sound quality , having said that my SDS 200 handles this system well of course not as good as my G5 .
