Thanks to whomever for correcting a few entries in the db.

Now I'm curious about 12056 through 12059 listed as tactical channels for Dispatch 12. May we assume that this is for the "Detention & Courthouse" deputies as it was known on the old P16 system? If not, who is it? It's immediately above the Pompano zone 11 bunch, but that pushed up to 12055 since they have 2 main patrol channels.

Also, 12126 is definitely a teletype channel, but I heard brief TTY-like traffic from a unit in the street last week on 12127 which would make sense if they're packing them together. However, the db lists 12137 as another TTY channel, so is that a typo or the real deal? I haven't had a chance to listen to that stuff yet, it is rather boring after all.

TNX. Happy New Year.

my apologies - 12137 was a typo. It has been corrected to 12127.

Thank you , I appreciate your response . I just hope my G5 zone selector knob lasts as I constantly change up . Hopefully future 1.4 will come to our rescue .

No, "DISPATCH" 12 above is Court Services. "DISTRICT" 12 which is Oakland Park is on "DISPATCH" 7 with District 4 Lauderdale Lakes and District 5 Unincorporated FTL. Confused yet ?

I just call them zones like they used to. Zone 12 is Courthouse, Zone 11 is Pompano, Zone 7 is Oakland Park and the wild, wild west of Fort Likkerdale, etc.

I'm curious how the radios are set up. Do they have something similar to the knob on top to select the zone, then an A, B, C switch for the tac channels? They used to dread having to push the buttons on the front to step through and find channels they rarely used before.

fixed in the dB.

I'm pretty sure that's "Detention", not detectives based on the use of Zone 12 on the old system. Although one might reasonably expect them to have more than one channel between downtown, Blount Road, and whatever other jails they have, idk.

TNX.

Drove to Ft. Lauderdale yesterday. The analog 1F25 is gone. Was still up 2 weeks ago. I guess they crossed over 100%. Almost 27 years of listening to them. But I won’t buy a new $600+ scanner to listen to them now that I’m in a Palm Beach, but it was a good ride, & proves the durability of the MTS2000.

Check again. Still pumping out that good old 3600 baud control channel data stream on 852.8625 MHz as I type this. It's still used by Oakland Park local gummint and Fort Lauderdale city services.

Never had them in my radio. Just the Dispatch, & Tac ch’s, as well as the Detective ch’s. But my XTS2500 can still get WPB, Ft. Lauderdale, & Hollywood. PBC is encrypted, so nothing to get for that. It is what it is.

DET is "Detention". Same as the old system.

Most of the talkgroups from the old system have been turned off and users can no longer key them up.

Has anyone heard any Seminole Tribe traffic yet? Not that I ever heard any on the other system...
