Fort Lauderdale Fire Dispatch is on Broward's P25 BCF TAC-14. I'm sure this has to do with the previously reported maintenance. FLL Chief asked the Information Dispatcher because he received a text for FLL units to go to BCF TAC-14 if they needed to raise Fort Lauderdale Fire Dispatch...

Fort Lauderdale public safety communications have TEMPORARILY moved to the Broward P25 system for "radio maintenance". I have no idea what this radio maintenance entails, but they apparently wanted the FtL system idle to perform it.

When the maintenance has been completed the Fort Lauderdale units will switch back to their normal channels. I have no idea when the maintenance will be completed.

You could've deduced that this was not a permanent move since they are using the interop channels and not some unknown talkgroups that just popped up out of thin air. This is S.O.P. when the regular system is unavailable.

I also learned that Broward LE common channels are found in Zone 13 on Fort Lauderdale police radios. Perhaps this is the same in BSO radios, but I don't have any way of knowing that.

A number of units had no idea how to find the LE common channels. Perhaps some enterprising individual could develop a cheat sheet for them to consult when they need to switch to rarely-used channels like this.

12129 - Sporadic encrypted traffic around 16:00, possibly related to a "large taped up box" next to the Oakland Park post office, idk.

Nope, the Dispatch zones are in 12 and up. So Dispatch 2 is zone 12, Dispatch 3 is zone 13, etc.

The LE COM channels are in Zone 3 and labeled. Units don't know how to find things because they don't pay attention.

LOL The old Broward P16 system is back to its SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAL on the hang time. The FLL security and maintenance folks are not amused, but I doubt anybody will come running to their rescue these days.

What are the clearance codes used by Broward Sheriff's Office?

I looked in the wiki, but they are not listed so I will add them once we have a complete list.

The most common is "B"ravo which is either "unfounded" or "not found", as in "10-98b".

I ask because I heard an oddball one yesterday: Juliet, unless they were joking around.

TNX.

I must have asked for the wrong thing. I don't recognize any of that, except the A, B, C shift designators.

Are those for Coral Springs PD?

What I'm asking for does not depend on the nature of the call, it is spoken to the dispatcher on the radio (like the example in my o.p.) and simply indicates how the unit cleared the call. The list of choices that I've heard sounds much smaller than that, with no Fxx specifiers heard. TNX.

I thought A Alpha meant written report taken, and that B Bravo meant unfounded or no written report will be made. I used to have a list somewhere, I will see if I can find it.

EDIT: I found it.
I don't know if this list is still accurate, it was given to me by someone who used to be a BSO Deputy.

BSO Disposition Codes

A - Written report

B - Lack of information/violation/complainant GOA/etc. (no report needed)

C - S/49, Building secured, no signs of concern/owner notified

D - S/49, Building secured, no signs of concern/owner not notified

E - Civil matter/civil assist

F - S/4 settled on scene, DLE action not required

G - Off duty citizen assist

H - Assist to other agency

I - Warrant/capias arrest
