I have had my WS1095 for a few weeks with good results. However, I can't quite figure this out. I have 2 objects I would like to have a LED alert on. The problem is these 2 objects are not in the Scanlist ( Labeled " Pinellas P25" by me ) So I simply can't find them to assign a LED to them.
When I choose to scan this list, these objects are scanned and come up on the screen. Coverage is good. They are P25 phase 1. The 2 are PCSO, SPPD, ( Police Departments ) Again, these show up fine when scanning.

I have scrolled thru all the " Browse Objects " in my scanlist labeled Pinellas P25. Everything else is there except the 2 objects I want to assign the LED. I can't figure it out. I even looked in my other scanlists,

I also tried this, in the EZ software i had the contents of the SD card downloaded to the computer, just to see exactly what was listed in the above mentioned Scanlist. Everything is there, including PCSO, and SPPD. Any Idea's what I am doing wrong?? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Hal

You are not doing anything wrong .. it can be a bit of getting used to as far as finding things in the scan lists and being able to edit them on the scanner.

My solution .. I never edit anything on the scanner, always in the software. That way .... there are never any issues with discrepancies from the scanner.

I think I'm using a older version of EZ-Scan but will pass along how I
set my lights up.

Open EZ-Scan
At the bottom of the page click on "Scanlists" (Tool bar)
At the top of the page use the "scanlist" drop down menu and
select the system you want. This will open the system page will show
you all the talk groups programmed on your scanner for the selected system..

At the top near the far right should be a column header labeled BKLT/LED. Go
down this column to find the talk group you want to set and double click. This
should open the light box for this talk group. Make your settings and save.

After you have everything set, load to the scanner and the lights should operate
as programmed.

I think in a trunk system you need to program each talk group you want. On a
conventional channel, you use the same method but set the lights for that channel.

Hope my memory is not too fuzzy. Good luck.....

You don't edit Object in ScanList. You Edit them in Systems. Go to the Trunked System Tab and click on Talkgroup Details Tab and setup your LED's there.

Actually, you can do it from either place. Like you, I prefer to use the "Trunked Radio System" tab to edit objects, but it still can be done from the "Scanlist" tab.

Agreed .. editing from the Trunked Radio System tab makes a lot more sense.
