I live in New Jersey, the weather temp changes from day to day, extremely cold than back to mild temps. I have my 536 installed inside of my vehicle. Is there any detriment of leaving the scanner in the car parked outside during this period?

I've had mine in the car since it first came out. Aside from the display lagging until it warms up, it will be fine.

Operating Temperature: + 14º F (– 10º C) to + 140º F (+ 60º C )
Storage Temperature: – 22º F (– 30º C) to + 158º F (+ 70º C )

Well, the solder probably doesn't use lead. Take that for what you will.
