Can’t locate the thread on this one...Are they using MSWIN or are the still on the old VHF channels? The park trucks are still sporting the old antennas.
MDWFP are on the MSWIN. they have access to VHF High for interop with County/Municipal agencies not using the AWIN. All Satellite Radios have been removed.
MEMA and MDWF&P moved from VHF Low, to Satellite Radios for many years. At the time, most state EMA's were all on a satellite radio network. Yes it was expensive. As for VHF, they no longer use their OWN system but do have an set on towed repeaters if the MSWIN should ever fully fail. For any VHF in use look up each county that the park is in. They would use the County VHF system. For the temporary VHF towed system: Mississippi - MS Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks Scanner Frequencies and Radio Frequency Reference ... And Hancock County is on the MSWIN. The Statewide interop VHF stuff is here: Mississippi - MS Common/Shared Scanner Frequencies and Radio Frequency Reference They no longer even have licenses for Low Band at all and removed all the gear.
