Buckley AFB System?

Anyone have any trunker files for the new Buckley AFB ASTRO Smartzone system?

From what I understand, the new ranges for this system are as follows:

Range 1 406.0000 12.5 Khz 409.7375
Range 2 410.0000 12.5 Khz 410.9875

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, as I'd like to get an entry in the database added.

It is digital, but you can monitor it with a digital capable scanner.

For starters this system is NOT Buckley AFB it is a federal wide coverage Smartzone system in the early stages that includes multiple federal agencies. Buckley happens to be one of the users on the system but it is NOT their system.

And yes the system does have 2 base/offset ranges. :twisted:

Phil, do you have info on the 4th site. I can never get a strong enough signal to run trunker on that site. Also, what is the 2nd table for?

That's correct the UHF system is managed by GSA/FPS-8PAF (Federal Protective Service). The "Mega-Center" does most of the dispatching except for Buckley.

Has anyone had success with programming the Federal system into their PRO-96? I've tried every different configuration I can think of with the info on RR.com and I can't get it to track. Same with the USAFA system. If anyone has a P96 file, or can at least guide me step by step, that would be awesome.

Try these custom tables and make sure they work on the Cherry Creek site. Cherry Creek is the site thats difficult to get to track right on the higher frequencies. I don't guarantee this works 100% as I cannot get into my WIN 96 files. I'm getting an error "general extraction error location IMP1". Anyone know what might be causing that?

There are people who will tell you that 406.25 cannot be right because the frequencies cannot overlap, but I'm pretty sure this is what I'm using. Please someone report back with results with Cherry Creek.

Yes that should work with all the sites. Cherry Creek is the most difficult to make track right.

Also is all the traffic simulcast on all four sites? When I was listening today there was not a whole lot going on so it was hard to tell if it was working for sure.

Being intentionally non-specific, it is a site in the Boulder area.
The system is smartzone so, like the state system, not all groups will be on every site.

As I recall that table 01 will not trunk track to 410.175 and 410.675 on site 3. It goes to 410.425 and some other frequency in error. I don't have access to my Trunker files or my notes right now so I can't look it up.

Well, after a little tinkering last night, I got it to work. Strangely, when I programmed it with Win96, it didn't track properly, but doing it manually in the radio, it worked. I had it side-by-sde with the 396, so I could verify that it was tracking it correctly.
