Bucyrus PD - updated FCC license

Bucyrus PD updated their FCC license to include DMR emissions on 156.21

FB 155.37 analog emissions
FB2 156.21 analog and DMR emissions (DMR emissions are new)
FB2 159.375 analog emissions

They filed a construction notification suggesting that they have built that out.

So don't be surprised if one day you start hearing digital sounds on 156.21 instead of analog for Bucyrus PD.

Is that some sort of trend over in that area? I was picking up Ontario PD on 155.085 one day and was caught off guard hearing a digital signal coming out of VHF. Pretty neat.

Is there a way to monitor Bucyrus PD since they went digital? The sentinel software has not updated the info and i cant hear the PD a all. I have the DMR upgrade and can hear the Sheriff in Crawford County. Thanks

The Sentinel software cannot update BPD unless somebody submits the updated information to the RadioReference database first.

If it's DMR, we need to know color code and talkgroup(s).

Do you know for a fact that they went digital?

Thanks, Jason. I modified the existing conventional entry from FM to DMR and put the appropriate color code / talkgroup in there. If it's a single agency, single repeater, single talkgroup -- I think it's better off just being in the DB as a simple conventional DMR listing.

It's Trunked as another TGID I'm hearing that's not encrypted that should be and decided not to disclose.

PS: On the same license is a repeater 159.375. Somebody might want to program that in their scanners and see if they get any hits.

Already done with zero hits so far. More monitoring to do in that area so I'll advise.
