Within the last Five Minutes Littleton Fire was dispatched to a stairway collapse and/or other structural collapse at an Apartment Complex in Littleton. Primary Comms are currently being handled on Littleton FD 2 (TGID 1857). The building department has been called. Englewood has also been requested to send out a Fire Unit to assist. At least one resident may be "barricaded" in the structure.

UPDATE: This call was originally paged as a "structure fire", however it now appears to be more of a law enforcement incident. Littleton PD is investigating. Evidently one party may have attempted to assault another party with a "blowtorch"; however it sounds like a staircase might have indeed collapsed. Details are rapidly developing...
EMS units went back in service, and possibly the remaining Fire Units. Littleton PD remain on scene. It appears a victim was taken to the hospital via EMS. It sounds like Littleton PD is attempting to "coax" a suspect out of an apartment, it might be a juvenile. It sounds like they aren't expecting any big confrontations. The building inspector just arrived on scene.
