How do you use the :
Built in discriminator data output in simple ASCII output using the PC/IF port.

There is currently (to my knowledge) only one application out there that makes use of this unique discriminator data.... that program is.
Unitrunker, by Unitrunker (Rick).
The latest version of Unitrunker (as of Jan 18, 2008) supports decoding of Motorola trunked data. It does not currently support EDACS or other. This is not a fault of Unitrunker. In another Unitrunker thread you can find discussion regarding a firmware update that GRE needs to make (a very simple one that I'm pretty sure they'll take care of in next update) to allow proper decoding of EDACS without any confusion or error.
So, Unitrunker supports PC/IF discriminator data for decoding of Motorola CC data right now and EDACS after GRE fixes the bug in their firmware.
Unitrunker is great by the way. If you have a PSR-500 and any Motorola systems around, download the latest version of Unitrunker and have some fun!

Can someone point me to an online user's manual for this scanner? I'd like to read and understand it myself. Thank you.Skud said:The PC/IF port on the PSR500 is used as a discriminator. it uses the usb cable that comes with the scanner along with Pro96com 1.6.5 to track P25 systems. I have no tried seeing how unitrunk works.
