At least with the Fire Service. For at least another year, I would expect simulcasting of the VHF and 700 MHz. I would also expect to start seeing the rest of the County LEA's start getting "private" TG's on the 700 MHz, with the exception of Asheville, who will have Mutual Aid patches on the ATRS as they do now. I don't have current info on what the complete future holds with Asheville and their future comms as my only remaining inside person has moved to an position with Charleston, SC. So keep your ears open folks. I always try to keep an eye on the area as I do have friends there and try to visit when I can. Hopefully by the time I go this year I will have an 700 MHz capable scanner so I can monitor that and the VHF/UHF ops.

One question I do have regaurding the EMS ops... Do they still use the VHF/UHF to communicate with the ER's, or have they gone fully to the 700 MHz Encrypted TG?
