Looks like they've finally got some frequencies to use now (or at least their in the process of being licensed).

I noticed compared to their current VHF conventional simulcast (KDC300) they're not reusing many of their current sites. I also don't see any of the cities 4 sites licensed either. Already starting to look like they're putting a lot of extra work in. I'll be interested to plot these tonight after work and see what to expect.

VHF will be patched to 700 for a very long time until funding can get radios to all departments. All is not lost yet.

There is a county wide ( fire departments ) grant to get the radios im unsure of the grant status though

Right, but patches will stay in place for a while for mutual aid purposes and to keep the volunteers in the loop.

Hell, the Char-Meck TRS is close to 30 years old and county fire still has VHF linked in with it. Plus they'll still need analog conventional to handle QuickCall II tones.
