Update on this story At approximately 5:13 p.m. Tuesday, the Buncombe County Sheriff's Office received a 911 reporting a gunshot wound at 440 Old Buckeye Cove Road. Responding deputies discovered a black male suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. The male was transported to Mission Hospital by ambulance where he was pronounced dead. Investigators are currently on the scene. The incident appears to be the result of a family dispute and the investigation is ongoing.
