Hi guys,

Just trying to gather info to make an informed decision about what setup would be work for me.

If I run a coax cable from my antenna to my radio, would that hamper my signal at all if it were buried or on the ground? Or is it preferred to have this cable elevated as well?

It doesn't matter however if it is buried it must be rated for direct burial. If it is on the ground it should be protected from varmits and lawn mowers.

Thanks! Looking at options and I think I can run a coax just along the back of the house behind the garden for the winter. No danger of being hit with a mower.

I had a buried run of RG-59 going to a video camera on my detached garage. One day the video was gone.. A darn mole chewed through it.
