I have the new BCD436HP scanner which comes pre-loaded with the RR database. The Camden County & Cherry Hill TRS work fine, however, the Burlington County TRS only receives police, no fire/ems. The talkgroups for fire/ems show as active but there's no fire/ems transmissions. Same problem with Phildelphia Fire/ems... No transmissions being heard. Anyone having this problem with any scanner model?

Check your service types by going into the menu scroll to select services types and make sure all are enabled,I had this problem after noticing I was only hearing some of the TGs on my systems and it took me 3 days to figure out that this was the problem. I get Burlington County TRS loud and clear from my location via the Pemberton site by the way.

Thanks, the service types worked for Burl County. Do you leave all of the sites active or do you block/avoid all except Pemberton? Thought I read that monitoring multiple sites slows scan.

Still not receiving Phila Fire transmissions. I know their dispatch channels aren't encrypted.

Aslc, as you may have seen in other threads in other forums, Phila Fire is difficult to hear outside city limits. Not surprised there. Re towers in Burlco, Pemberton and Medford give me the best signals near 70/206.

I'm only 8 miles from phila so I thought I'd still be able to receive them. I get nothing at all not even intermittent or choppy audio. Oh well...... Thanks

Philly's propagation has always been strange. Using any of my scanners, I lose Philly when I hit the Street Rd exit on I-95 in Bucks County. That's probably about 2 miles outside the city. I then get bits and pieces here and there throughout Levittown. It's been that way forever. Interestingly enough, using an XTS portable gets me crystal clear reception all the way to Morrisville, right across the river from Trenton.

If you live 8 miles from Philly, sounds like you closer to either the Mount Laurel site or the Westampton site. Try one of those, while you have the others programmed in but avoided.
