Burlington County PD FD

What am I missing. Been listening to 506.475 (one of seven frequencies) on SDR and DSD plus. Showing up as P25 NAC:0D4. Cannot seem to find any info on it in the RRDB. Definitely dispatching PD/FD/EMS in familiar locations in Burlington. I accumulated a number of talk groups such as :

I'm lost on trying to apply whether this is a P25 trunk, Motorola, Single Freq P25 on my scanners. None of my setups seem to function for this system. Am I missing something?.

I'm using Unidens 436's and 536's. I have a TRX 1 to play with too.

What is CAl stand for?.....so I would program my scanner as a Motorola Smart Zone?......and use the talk groups I read out which are different than whats on the database?

CAI = Common Air Interface. In plain English, it means that their Motorola system is using P25 digital for voice, not analog.

Yes, program the system as a Motorola system, not a P25 system.

The talkgroups are being displayed in their native P25 format. To convert them to Motorola, multiply them by a factor of 16. 1051 x 16 = 16816, which is the North Central Patrol Zone 1 talkgroup.

All of your scanners are capable of being programmed with software, especially the 436 and 536, which use Sentinel to add systems from the full database to Favorites lists. There is really no reason at all for you to be manually programming this stuff. Just import/append the Burlington County Public Safety system to a Favorites list and be done with it.

So.....this all means, what I had already programmed in my scanner, from the normal Burlington sites from the database, is actually the same traffic as I hear on the SDR DSD. Seeing how the talk groups are calculated, I now see the difference in their values.

Yes I normally use Sentinel and ARC536 software for programming.

Yup, if you already scan that system, then it's the same thing you're already listening to.

I'm curious, been looking at the 325P2 to go along with my BCD996P2, but you're using the 436hp & 536. What's the difference?
