I thought twice about posting this question since I could have sworn it has been posted many times over. However, the worst that happens is it gets locked and someone posts a link to where it has been discussed in the past. To make it easy, here in Toms River I can get the Burlington County TRS on the Pemberton site or Chatsworth site depending on the wind blowing. For those outside the area, it is a multi-site TRS with different frequencies on each site. Is it safe to put the Pemberton site frequencies in, then a blank channel, and then the Chatsworth site frequencies in one bank? My thinking is depending on which is stronger, the scanner will automatically lock on whichever control channel it can pick up? I have a Radio Shack PRO 2096. Thanks, and sorry if this has been discussed before.

You could do what you suggested, however, the Chatsworth site does not broadcast the majority of TG's. Stay with the Pemberton zone, it broadcasts all of the Fire/EMS R-1 TG's and the P-3, P-4, P-5, & P-7 police TG's. The system is set up very strange, some TG's are system wide, some stay on their home zone, some are on just 2 or 3 zones.

Thanks, I will do that. But on nights when the Pemberton zone won't come in at all, the Chatsworth is better than nothing.
