My wife and I will be traveling to Burlington next month. Is there anything to monitor in the area that is not encrypted? Thank you

Burlington emergency services operate here and according to the database are "in the clear" (Mode "D"). Only the talkgroups ID'ed as mode "DE" are fully encrypted & "De" partially-encrypted, none of which are Burlington. Only caveat is the sites are simulcast so the system would best be monitored using either a Uniden SDS100 or 200 to combat potential simulcast distortion. Happy trails!

All Burlington PD talkgroups are encryption-capable but they are all set to selectable. Most of the time they are in the clear.
