Burnt out USB ports

I have burnt out 2 USB ports on my laptop and the administrator said i was over powering them and need a better sound card. Any ideas on a good sound card that will run my feed with metadata ? Thanks in advance.

Are you running a feed at your workplace?

Finding another job might be a bigger problem than finding a sound card.

You won't have much luck finding a sound card for a laptop especially since your admin told you not to use the USB ports.

With it being a laptop, your only other sound option would be USB sound, so if the ports are completely dead, you are out of luck,,,
