Police, fire and ambulance crews will now be equipped with a high-end 800 MHZ digital radio system they hope will prevent communication interrupts that can be caused by geography or even going into the basement of a building.

Anyone have the new frequencies and site information in use?

Based on the timing and the locations referred to in the article Butte's police, firefighters to get $1.6 million in radio upgrades
it seems like it must be FCC Callsign WRHV772 (BUTTE-SILVER BOW COUNTY 911)

Based on the license, it seems to be a 2-site, non-simulcast P25 TRS with 4 frequencies per site.

And then this seems to confirm that is exactly what was procured: https://www.co.silverbow.mt.us/DocumentCenter/View/16363/19-483

hahhahah
"Wifi, electric lights, all of those things, cellular interference, all of those things coupled with the valley that will live in caused us to have some major communication problems, particularly with our hand-held radios,” said Butte Sheriff Ed Lester. "
If those things interfered with their VHF system cant wait to see how they interfere with the 800 P25 stuff.
Sounds like the VHF system was not set up properly if wifi and lights and cell can interfere with it.

Thinking of going to Butte to see what I can learn today. When I was there couple weeks ago they where on analog.

Thanks for doing that! I suggest you manually program a new P25 trunked system into your scanner, with two sites, and use 851.350, 851.625, 853.6375 and 853.8125 for site 1 (which is on a tower on top of the police station uptown), and 851.100, 851.275, 851.5375 and 853.8875 for site 2 (which appears to be on a tower behind the emergency operations center / justice center on Wynne Ave). Turn on ID Search, and knock yourself out! Let us know what you find, and how often you see that "Enc" symbol show up, if at all.

Sites are active I put them in like DanRollman said in two separate sites. Only talk groups I can confirm is 10397 Butte Police. That also answer my question in unidentified TG from the other day.

Great! Can you let us know what System ID you are seeing? We'll need that in order to build out the system in the database.

Yah problems is where they are putting them. Plus should do like kalispell and have sites in town like kalispell water tower and such. I work for the NPS in Glacier and our portables work except where can’t really hit Apgar lookout in Avalanche area kinda a hole. But other then that we have no problems
