WS1040: Buttons fading out

I have a WS-1040 that has buttons that are fading out. Especially the number buttons (1, 2 3, etc) are peeling off. And the other buttons are fading out where I cant see what the button is for. Any suggestions? I thought about getting a pen and writing the numbers and all on them. But I am not sure if its worth it, if there is another way to do it.
