I'm new to this trunking hobby. I don't want to purchase a Bearcat but rather a good quality Motorola and program it myself.

I'm looking for a used Motorola mts-2000 at various ham radio flea markets. Is there anything in particular I should be aware of when buying radio's of this type?

Any comments or sugestions on maybe a better radio, model ect...
