My SDS200 has developed a buzzing/pulsing noise in the background when connected to the computer via the output jack. I have tried various cables, turned off all wall warts, ran an extension cord for power, hooked up to my laptop (to ensure it wasn't sound card). Took scanner and laptop to neighbors and tried it there, to no avail, the buzzing/pulsing persists. Even tried a ground loop filter.

SDS200 has the factory mod installed which is "supposed" to fix the problem. I opened unit and cleaned the supposed fix and housing and made sure I have a tight fit, but still buzzing/pulsing.

Have sound settings where I don't hear it through the computer speakers but the buzzing/pulsing still come over low level on my feed, which is annoying!

Any suggestions?

The mod your mention was for the hum fix which I do not believe had anything to do with or when the scanner was connected to the PC.

Appears to be problem with output jack, plugged into headphone jack and NO buzzing/pulsing, but had to adjust audio levels. Guess I will be replacing the output jack to see if that clears up problem.

If you have the 200, audio is carried over the LAN cable so no need for any other cables. Look for url in those settings.

Ok, set it up that way and working great no buzzing/pulsing. But my local electric company of DMR is blasting me out compared to regular channels, so have to work on that.

Thanks for helping cure this problem.
